It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Evelio Caraballo, who left this world on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at his residence, following a long illness.|
Evelio was a kind soul who gave generously, even when he had little left to give. His smile had a way of lighting up a room, and his love stretched far beyond any border or boundary. A devoted son, cherished brother, proud father and grandfather, his presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. His spirit was gentle, his laughter unforgettable, and his compassion was endless.
A man of humor and heart, Evelio had a gift for making people laugh and a deep belief that you bring people together by giving. He lived and worked across Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and the United States, wherever life took him, he made a home and left his mark. A retired craftsman through and through, he lived by the belief that if it could be done, he could do it. He loved to cook, and the table he set was always an open invitation.
Though he has left this world, the love he shared and the lives he touched will carry his memory forward. He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
Left to carry on his memory are his mother, Ana Cintron; his son, Jose Caraballo; his daughters, Gloria Rodriguez and Ana Caraballo; his brothers, Jose Caraballo, Brandon Caraballo, and Brian Caraballo; his sisters, Betsy Santana and Nilda Caraballo; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may attend the visitation on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Cumberland Valley Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m.
He will be taken back and laid to rest in Puerto Rico.
